Played with a low net, wooden paddles and a ball similar to a wiffle ball, pickleball is a combination of ping pong, tennis and badminton. Easy for beginners, great fun and exercise!

42104 - CPR/First Aid 16+

The American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED program helps participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies. The courses in the program teach the knowledge and skills needed to give immediate care to an injured or ill person and to decide whether advanced medical care is needed.

Cutting edge program - one of the fastest growing watersports - PADDLEBOARD! A great full body core workout and a whole new way to experience the water in the outdoors. People of all ages and skill levels can be up and riding in no time!
$20 to paddle with your own equipment. $40 to paddle with borrowed equipment.

42111 - Dog Obedience

Have your dog barking up the right tree! Sit, stay, and heel are some of the commands. Dog must be at least 4-months-old and have all shots. No chain or retractable leashes. Please wear sneakers or low-sole shoes. One person per dog should attend this class. Remember to bring lots of treats!!

42112 - Adult Tennis

Learn all the basic strokes of tennis, as well as how to keep score, court positioning, and basic tactics of beginner play.

42113 - Adult Paddle/Pickle

The fastest growing sport in America is thriving at GRSC. Played with paddles and wiffle balls, this game is played on our tennis courts with special nets and lines.

42118 - Boating Courses

The Piloting and Charting course is a three-night navigation course covering the basics of coastal and inland navigation. This course focuses on traditional techniques so the student will be able to find his/her own way even if their GPS fails. The course includes many in-class exercises which develop the student's skills through hands-on practice and learning. Topics covered include (but not limited to) charts and their interpretation, navigation aids and how they point to safe water, plotting courses and determining direction and distance, the mariner's compass and converting between True and Magnetic, pre-planning safe courses, and the Seaman's Eye -- simple skills for checking that one is on course. Please bring parallel rulers and divider, or other navigation plotting tools. These tools will be available for purchase for $45.
